"Beauty is in the eye ofthe beholder” - (Platon, 424/423 – 348/347 BC)
Beauty doesn't exist on its own but is created by observers. That famous quote can help you remember that a beholder is someone who sees or otherwise experiences things, becoming aware of them. To be a beholder, you have to pay attention.
What is Beauty?
Beauty is commonly described as a feature of objects that makes these objects pleasurable to perceive.
According to a dualist theory, there a two form of human beauty:
- Outer beauty (appearance):
Is a concept that refers to a persons physical beauty or attractiveness. Physical attractiveness is the degree to which a person's physical features are considered aesthetically pleasing or beautiful. Generally, physical attractiveness can be viewed from a number of perspectives; with universal perceptions being common to all human cultures, cultural and social aspects, and individual subjective preferences. According to Grammer (2018) there are eight "pillars" of beauty:
- Youthfulness
- Symmetry
- Averageness
- sex-hormone markers
- body odor
- motion
- skin complexion
- hair exture
Karl Grammer, Human Form—An Evolutionary Psychological Approach to Beauty, 2018, DOI: 10.3390/proceedings2010060
- Inner beauty (character):
Is a concept that refers to a person's personality, values, beliefs, and character traits that make him or her a good, kind, and compassionate human being. There are 7 Pretty Qualities. That Enhance Inner Beauty
- Kindness
- Gentleness/Femininity
- Modesty
- Purity
- Generosity
- Humility
- Honesty/Commitment
What are the benefits of being beautiful?
The perception of attractiveness can have a significant effect on how people are judged in terms of employment or social opportunities, friendship, sexual behavior, and marriage. Beautiful people are perceived as being healthier, wealthier, more socially dominant and more trustworthy. Good looking people tend to get unfair, beneficial treatment. The world rewards beauty, be it in business, school or simple social interactions.
What can you do for being beautiful?
“The Beauty Care Continuum”: There are several tricks that can help you improve your appearance and gain the advantages of beauty in everyday life.
Beauty is not created with one magic procedure, but it is the artful layering of:
- Education (Lifestyle & Awareness)
- Health
- Wellness
- medical expertise (Aesthetic Medicine &
Aesthetic Surgery) - deep understanding of the individual needs
of body, mind and soul (holistic approach)
All these works when combined, they don’t compete, they build on each other. The secret is creating a personalized plan that suits each person’s unique needs and enhances natural beauty over time
Education
Beauty and Aging begins with awareness, and to know what is typical for you. Lifestyle medicine is baseline medicine, that can be added to any other procedure.
Cosmetic care
The cosmetics industry plays a huge role in correcting and disguising skin imperfections – increasing the attractiveness of make-up wearers and providing them with the resultant benefits.
Wellness
Wellness is defined as optimal health and
vitality.Aesthetic Medicine
Aesthetic medicine uses non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures to improve a person's physical appearance and satisfaction with their look. It addresses cosmetic concerns like wrinkles, skin laxity, scars, and hair removal through treatments such as injectables, chemical peels, and laser therapy.
Plastic Surgery
Aesthetic treatments and surgeries are performed on both men and women: Although men are also dealing with the issue these days, women are more willing to undergo surgery. The main motive of Aesthetic or Cosmetic Surgery is to increase and improve one's own appearance and thus one's own well-being. Most patients despair of their problem areas: hips and thighs, bottom and waist as well as legs and arms are often mentioned as such. If those affected do not get closer to their goals with sport or diet, the thought of cosmetic surgery quickly arises. More than three quarters of those surveyed hope that the surgical correction will improve their (subjective) attitude towards life.
- The most common cosmetic surgeries for women are: breast augmentation, eyelid lift, liposuction, face lift, breast life
- The most common cosmetic surgeries for men are: eyelid lift, gynecomastia treatment, chin correction, ear correction, facelift
Holistic Longevity
Holistic Longevity: Longevity includes three concepts:
- Living longer without disease
- Living longer time than average
- controlling and reversing the hallmarks of
aging
Like health, longevity always affects the whole person, which is Body, Mind & Soul. That is why we prefere to speak about Holistic Longevity.
FAQs for Aging precaution in Dubai and Muscat
Aging is one of the most important issues inour society, and affects everyone without exception.
Aging is a gradual, continuous process of natural change that begins in early adulthood. During early middle age, many bodily functions begin to gradually decline. The aging process is a combination of external (environmental) and the internal (innate or genetic) aging process.
When a person becomes old can be answered in different ways:
Chronological Age
The Chronologic age is based solely on the passage of time. It is a person’s age in years. Chronologic age has limited significance in terms of health. Nonetheless, the likelihood of developing a health problem increases as people age, and it is health problems, rather than normal aging, that are the primary cause of functional loss during old age. Because chronologic age helps predict many health problems, it has some legal and financial uses.
Biological Age (External Aging, appearance):
Biologic age refers to changes in the body that commonly occur as people age. The youthful body shape is gradually lost. Initially, despite training and changing eating habits, there are small changes in the sense of fat deposits and a small amount of excess skin, but the skin's elasticity is still retained. Later, the age-related loss of volume and/or tension in the muscles and subcutaneous fatty tissue, coupled with a loss of elasticity in the skin, and the changes in volume and shape of the bones, cause the soft tissue to become larger than the content. Wrinkles and sagging skin sacks appear. The aging process affects all parts of the body. Since most parts of the body are usually covered by clothing, age is primarily reflected in the exposed areas of the face and hands. Only when we undress does the age show up in other places, such as in the area:
- the arms (flabby upper arms)
- the breast (hanging breast in women, formation of a female breast shape in men)
- the abdomen (flabby abdominal wall)
- the buttocks (hanging buttocks)
- the legs (cellulite and skin bags in the thigh area)
Due to the changed leisure behavior, these places are becoming increasingly important, since these places are now increasingly exposed. The desire for tightening in these areas has increased significantly in recent years.
Psychologic Age
Psychologic age is based on how people act and feel. For example, an 80-year-old who works, plans, looks forward to future events, and participates in many activities is considered psychologically younger (“golden ager”).
